WEAR YOUR CONVICTIONS ON YOUR SLEEVE STORIES

The protest Al's story is about happened before the Wear Your Convictions On Your Sleeve Protest.

Well, let me start off by saying that I love you guys. I've been listening to your stuff for about a year and a half. Anyway, back to the story. It was a nice day when some of my friends came to me and said at 10:00 there was going to be a walk out to protest against the war. So, naturally I said I would do it. than 10:00 comes and I walk out of 3rd period. So, I meat up with some of my friends. We all start yelling pro-peace sayings. Most of which were Anti-flag lyrics. But than we all got in one big ass circle and started yelling out ideas. We also got some poster paper and started making signs. I made one that said, "we are not tools, we are human beings," and "I don't want to die, I don't want to kill." And there were some dumbshit assholes that were saying just to nuke Iraq. Well, back to the story. The proctors at the school were video taping us. They said it was for school history. Than someone with a big sign that said PEACE, NO WAR. So I grabbed one side and we marched through the school. As we walked through the school, people were behind us, yelling too. We marched through the whole school. (Chaffey high school. It use to be a collage, so its pretty big) Than we walked up the major street by our school. We also had a sign that said "Honk if you are against the war." We got our share of honks and middle fingers. After that, we stood in front of the autorium and were waiting for the news to come, even though the media probably will defect what well say. Than hell broke loose and the staff members and the principals and the dean came out. At first they were just standing there, than they surrounded us. They than told us that we are on video and all of were being suspended. Another way our system fuck with us. The only way not to get suspended was to go back to class A.S.A.P. Than I told the principal, what about our first amendment? Don't we have a say in this? Aren't we the world's future? All he had to say was "Go back to class or you will be in big trouble." And another fucked up thing is the seniors wouldn't be able to walk with their class. And, if you played any sports you would be taken off the team. So, I said I would go back to class. In the office they took our signs and didn't give them back to us.

Well that was my story, hope you liked it… On March 28, Ill be wearing my armband. I'll also tell the Ontario punk scene as well. Well, it's been an honor to hear your badass voice and to write to you, so later.
